University of Oxford/Reuters Institute Journalism Fellowship Program: One of the world’s most popular programs for allowing working, mid-career journalists to take a leave of absence from their regular positions to pursue in-depth journalism studies is the Reuters Institute’s Journalist Fellowship Program. For living and travel expenses, the Journalist Fellows get a stipend in addition to full funding, which covers the majority of them.
Your knowledge of journalism, the news industry, and your place in it will grow as a result of your own research, seminars, networking opportunities, and conversations with peers. Throughout your fellowship, you will apply the knowledge you gain to work on a project in Oxford that will directly affect your career, your newsroom, and the media sector as a whole. This is a program designed for editors and working journalists who, after a few months with us, want to go back into the media.
