SUMMARY
This position is exclusive to those who are UK residents in need of sponsorship for a skilled worker visa.
You have to be open to moving to South Wales, Bradford on Avon, Salisbury, or any of our Abicare office sites. Having a driver’s license is crucial because you will be visiting five to ten clients in their homes every day.
To apply for a skilled worker visa in the UK, you must be qualified.

Employment as a care assistant involves providing daily visiting care to members of the community. These positions are sometimes referred to as home care or domiciliary care employment. This typically entails providing personal care and assistance with daily duties.
Because of the nature of the work, you must have a valid UK driver’s license and access to a car because you will be traveling to see five to ten clients every day.

Locations: Salisbury, Bradford on Avon, Swindon and South Wales (Monmouthshire)
Guaranteed, full-time, 40 hours per week; overtime is available.

Key duties include:
Personal care: clothing, bathing, assistance using the restroom, and monitoring medication;
Bedtime and morning routines: assistance getting ready for bed;
Food preparation and assistance during mealtimes;
Light housekeeping: cooking, cleaning, and laundry;
Company and social interaction;
Social activities: going to clubs and seeing friends;
Errands: shopping and picking up prescriptions
The Ideal Candidate:
The chosen candidate must possess a valid UK driver’s license and have access to a car.

- Carers who will be naturally kind and caring, wanting to make a difference
- Willingness to learn and undertake online and classroom training, including the use of moving & handling equipment
- An understanding of what good care looks like
- Strong written and communication skills
- Individuals that are able to work independently and as part of a wider care team
- A calm attitude and the ability to think clearly when under pressure
- The ability to prepare simple meals and follow good standards of hygiene
- You must be able to work alternate weekends, early mornings and evenings
