Georgetown University Masters Scholarships: The Georgetown University Masters scholarship for the Global Human Development Program is a two-year master’s program that offers chances for experiential learning integrated into an innovative skills-based curriculum. The course is available full-time. The core courses covered in the curriculum include international political economy, program design and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, quantitative and qualitative techniques, finance and budgeting, management, and the economics of development.

Goals and Advantages of Georgetown University Masters
A complete scholarship for a student pursuing a GHD in sub-Saharan Africa.
Students apply what they learn in the classroom to three distinct professional work experiences in addition to the curriculum:
- The summer field project, which is a fully funded two- to three-month international work placement
- An internship at a relevant international development organization or agency located in Washington, DC, for at least one academic semester.
- The capstone project, which is a two-semester client engagement project that emphasizes project management and analysis,.
Criteria for Georgetown University Masters Scholarship Program
A minimum of two years of professional experience in international development is preferred, although one year is necessary as the GHD is a practitioner-focused program. Prior to recommended enrollment, all applicants must have obtained an undergraduate degree.
The following qualifications must be met by applicants to the Global Human Development Program:
- A bachelor’s degree.
- Completion of foundational courses in statistics, macroeconomics, and microeconomics (required prior to August enrollment but not required prior to application).
- Ability to work well in both English and another language (passing an oral proficiency test prior to graduation implies that students will have a reasonable command of one foreign language).
- It is highly recommended to have several years of experience living, studying, and working overseas.
- completion of the GMAT or GRE exam, with the best option being to take the test in time to submit results by the application deadline.
