Your new Company
I’ve been working on a project to find an IT/application development manager for a well-known Southern FMCG company that recently relocated over 200 people. Since you’ll be working between their offices in Chichester and Andover, you’ll probably be situated in the middle of Hampshire, though you could commute from most places in the South East.
In order to optimize their main ERP system, the technical leadership function is in charge of overseeing a small team and giving technical best practices and guidance.
Your new Role
and product owners)The position will be demanding and varied. From the standpoint of people management, you will initially work with three direct reports (BAs/Product Owners) and be involved in setting up technology solutions, application functionality, and business processes that will help convert needs into functional and technical specifications. You’ll oversee projects for continuous improvement and possess a solid understanding of the SDLC.
Having advanced from a technical background, you will now oversee all business system application modifications as the lead technical architect and analyst. In addition to being the go-to person within the company for business applications and how to make them sing, you’ll be trusted to establish a technical authority and framework. You’ll also act as a liaison between the development team, the customer, and any other third parties regarding software functionality throughout the lifecycle of the product.
What you’ll need to Succeed
It is required that you have prior experience working as an IT development manager, where you were in charge of optimizing an ERP system and its suite of apps. They don’t have any rules about the systems you’ve previously worked with; these might include SAP, Dynamics, Netsuite, and IFS, among others.
You ought to have overseen a small team of one to five employees and participated in performance reviews, interviews, and management.
We are searching for someone who can bring in a DevOps culture to the company and who fully embraces Agile. You will be the department’s go-to resource for technical questions as well as for inspiration, involvement, and assistance. Someone who can effect change and present well-reasoned technical recommendations to the board level while maintaining confidence in front of internal and external stakeholders.
To be considered, it would be ideal if you had a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
What you’ll get in Return
Though it may sound corny, the staff is upbeat, enthusiastic about moving the company ahead, and they frequently enjoy team activities and social outings. Along with great company pension contributions, life assurance, private medical insurance, 33 days of vacation (including bank holidays), a 40-hour work week, a health and wellbeing platform, and access to an incredible discount site, you’ll be qualified for their Bonus Scheme.
